• You can book or reschedule any service here.

If you don’t see a time that works for you when booking or rescheduling, you can also add yourself to Carter’s waitlist here.

  • Yes! All of the information for how to add yourself to the waitlist, including a 30 second video demonstration for how to add yourself to the waitlist for multiple dates at a time and the link to the online waitlist is on the BOOK page

  • Cancelling or rescheduling as soon as you know that you need to is appreciated both by Carter and clients on the waitlist who are hoping for an appointment time! You can cancel or reschedule your services here up until 24 hours before your appointment. If, for any reason, you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment within 24 hrs of your scheduled appointment time, email carter directly here as you will be responsible for paying the full cost of your service if no one from the waitlist is able to fill your appointment time. You are also welcome to gift your appointment to a friend if they can make it on short notice!

  • Yes and it is kept updated here! Both you and Carter will wear masks during your appointment. They wear a N95 and request that clients wear a well fitting mask with ear loops, no straps behind the head. If you have had ANY cold, flu or COVID symptoms within the 3 days prior to your appointment please reschedule promptly, as there are NO EXCEPTIONS to the Cancellation Policy.

Additionally, Carter’s studio was built during the first year of the pandemic with air quality in mind and includes an air purifier, strong vent and windows, along with an aranet CO2 monitor to confirm adequate air exchange and that CO2 always stays below 800 ppm (typically 550-700). The studio salon is private, so you will be the only client in the salon with Carter during your service.

  • If you have any hair inspiration photos, looks you love or looks you don’t want, please bring them! This will help Carter plan your style during your consultation.

To keep everyone safe and healthy, please also bring a well-fitting mask with ear loops (not behind the head) and a water bottle or beverage with a straw for sipping behind your mask. Since Carter does their best work quietly, you may also wish to bring a book, magazine, earbuds or laptop to stay entertained.

  • That used to be true when the chemicals used to color hair were less gentle, but it’s not true anymore!

Arriving with freshly washed hair, worn down as you typically wear it is the best way for Carter to assess your color, texture, and current cut in order to effectively plan your new style during your consultation. Please arrive with no ponytails, clips, bed or hat head and with your hair clean and dry.

  • Carter prefers payments by cash or check but also gladly accepts all major credit cards.

  • You sure can! Email is the best way to reach Carter. Be mindful that their business days are typically Tues-Sat and allow up to 72hrs for a response. Carter is pretty awesome, but is also just one single human doing all the hair services and also the business admin. They rely on this website to handle as much of the boring stuff (aka anything that’s not hair) as possible. Who knows maybe Your question will be the next FAQ!
